Pauline Betz Addie dies at 91

Pauline Betz Addie of Potomac, MD; winner of four U.S. Open Tennis titles and the 1946 women’s singles champion at Wimbledon died on May 31. Admired for “her powerful backhand and remarkable speed on the court”, Mrs. Addie was honored with the Pauline Betz Addie Tennis Center at Cabin John Regional Park in 2008.
