Honor, memorialize or thank a relative, friend or colleague with the dedication of a bench in the beautiful parks of Montgomery County. The Montgomery Parks Foundation will purchase and arrange for the installation of one (1) new park/trail bench or you may choose to adopt an existing bench. You can choose either laminate or bronze dedication plaques.
Trees & Boulders
Gifts and donations for the planting of trees or groves of trees are a wonderful way to recognize and honor loved ones, community members and friends. The Montgomery Parks Foundation will arrange for the installation of trees from October 1 through April 30, during the planting season. Donors may request a specific park and park location. The park manager and horticulturalist will assist in determining the exact site and verify the type of tree which is most appropriate for the growing conditions. Maintenance for 2 years is included in the initial gift fee.
Similar to the tree program, the Montgomery Parks Foundation will arrange for the installation of a boulder in a specific park or park location. The park manager and Foundation staff member will assist in determining the exact placement of the boulder to best meet the expectations of the donor.
The Rose Garden at Brookside Gardens has been a favorite destination of visitors since its opening in 1972. Something about the stunning beauty and seductive fragrance of roses draws visitors to this delightful garden over and over. For many, the Rose Garden holds special meaning and memories. With the new commemorative brick program the Rose Garden will be the lovely setting in which to honor a special person or to mark a memorable milestone.
Commemorative bricks are available in two sizes: 4″ x 8″ ($500) and 8″ x 8″ ($1,000). Each brick will be engraved with a personal message and placed in the walkway directly under the wisteria arbor in the Rose Garden. The commemorative brick areas are conveniently located near several benches, which will allow for relaxed visits surrounded by the fragrance of roses in bloom (or possibly wisteria in flower, depending upon the season!). Your generous donation to this program will be instrumental in maintaining the Gardens.
